Justice For Karima Baloch- A Letter to Canadian PM

Dear Honourable Prime minister Justin Trudeau,
We in Baluchistan National Movement (Baluchistan Raji Zrombesh) would like to draw your kind attention to the tragic loss of life of a prominent Baloch women activist Ms Karima Meharab in Toronto on Monday 21 December 2020.
She went missing on Sunday 20 – Dec 2020, and the following day her body was found by police in a downtown waterfront in Toronto. We and the Baloch people are deeply shocked.
She was enlisted as the top 100 prominent women activists by the BBC in 2016. Now in her memory we the Baloch, honoured Karima Mehrab Baloch as the Daughter of Balochistan.
She was the Chairperson of Baloch Student Organisation, a towering Baloch women struggling for the rights of Baloch and more importantly the emancipation of Baloch women. She was persecuted relentlessly by Pakistan so she sought refuge in Canada in 2015. She sadly continued to receive threats while living in Canada.
It is feared that she was drowned for her political vocalism and exposing the blatant human rights violation in Balochistan by Pakistan, as she was a resilient person and thoroughly committed to the Baloch Cause. It is beyond comprehension to treat the tragedy as committing suicide.
The people of Balochistan have been holding large demonstration in Karachi, Quetta, Turbat, Gwadar Panjgur, Khuzdar and many other cities throughout Balochistan demanding justice for Karima Mehrab Baloch. Please note that the women of Balochistan are in the forefront of the demonstrations.
Baluchistan National Movement (Baluchistan Raji Zrombesh) along with the people of Balochistan request your kind attention to provide justice to Karima Mehrab Baloch with a thorough investigation, taking into consideration the possibility of terrorism. We also ask you to provide more security to the Baloch activists in Canada.
